About Our Church

Best Max of All
Dr. Max D. Younce, Pastor

Welcome to...
Heritage Baptist Bible Church.

We are located in the South West corner of rural Minnesota, in the lovely little town of Walnut Grove. Yes, this is the very Walnut Grove, located on the banks of "the" Plum Creek, made famous by Laura Ingalls Wilder in her "Little House" series of books.

You will notice we have "Baptist" in our name; but, we are, first of all, Christian.  A Christian is one who believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for his sins and has accepted that payment as his ticket for Heaven.  Do you know if you're going to Heaven?  For more information on that, click on Am I Going to Heaven? or just remember...

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (John 3:16)

We feel we're a friendly church and we would love to shake your hand in person some Sunday Morning.  Morning Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. just like always.  The church is located at:

700 Seventh Street
P.O. Box 573,  Walnut Grove, MN 56180
Telephone: 507-859-2520
Church Email Link : Heritage Baptist Bible Church

If you can't make it in person and you live in our local area, please tune in to K-JOE - FM, 106.1, at 10:00 Central Time to our radio broadcasts.  For schedules, click on Radio Message.  If  you have Bible questions, would like a home visit from our pastor, or would simply like to purchase a copy of a particular broadcast, please don't hesitate to contact us at: Heritage Baptist Bible Church Online.

At 84 years of age, God let me know it is time for a change of pace.   We did not quit. The mission has not changed, just our location. We now live-stream our Sunday Morning Sermon from our studio in what-used-to-be our living room at 700 Seventh Street in Walnut Grove, MN, reaching many more with the Gospel.

You could say "Bible" is our "middle" name.  We believe the Bible, in its original documents, to be the inspired Word of God to man in its totality; and is without error in any of its words.  We believe the King James Translation to be the best translation in use today.  Our church is independent, meaning that it is not controlled by any other organization.  It is a local assembly of believers governing themselves according to the dictates of the Bible. If you want to know exactly what we believe, there is a link to the Statement of Faith in our Navigation Column; or, you may Click Here.
