Dr. Max D. Younce,  1935 - 2023

August 11, 2023, at 4:45 P.M, Pastor Max D. Younce was called home to Heaven by his Savior Jesus Christ. Marjorie, his wife of 67 years was by his side. His passing culminates a fifty three year Ministry of the Gospel in five churches, founder of two, Heritage Bible Church, Madison, Ohio, Heritage Baptist Bible Church,Walnut Grove, MN (1991-2023).

Dr. Younce closed most broadcasts with a verse about the near coming of Christ in the Rapture for all believers. At nearly 87 years young, he knew that “absent from the body, present with the Lord.” was also a possibility for him, and he prepared. He has a body of work large enough to carry the ministry to the Raptlure and beyond, if he can find someone to upload them for him during the Tribulation. After all, during his 1970 ordination service at the Troy Baptist Temple with Pastor Dr. Thomas Duff, the church he was saved in, he was asked. Do you plan on retiring? His quick reply, “The Gospel is not preached by retired preachers. As long as I can speak, there is nothing the world needs more than a clear Gospel.”

Therefore, as Hebrews 11:4 says of the blood of Abel, murdered by his brother, Cain, “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead, yet speaketh.” we know that Abel, at this time was not literally dead. He was the exact opposite! He had everlasting life. That is the meaning of the Greek word “apothnesko”, here rendered “dead.:” Strong’s: 599: From 575 and 2348 [to die off, literally or figuratively).

Dr. Younce was known for teaching Scripture. Spend any time with him, and he would have explained to you, in detail, how to go to Heaven. He would have you read his favorite verse, John 3:16, phrase by phrase, something like this.

“For God so loved the world,” Does that include you?” He asks. “...That he gave his only begotten Son,” “Do you celebrate Christmas?” Yes. That’s when Christ took on human flesh. “How ‘bout Easter?” Yes. That’s when Christ died on the Cross to pay for our sin, coming out of the grave three days, and nights later, at the Resurrection.” If you believe He did that for you, He makes you two promises:

  1. “...should not perish,” (You will not go to Hell. )
  2. “...but have everlasting life.” (You will have everlasting life.) Does that make sense to you? We hope it does.

To make a long story short. We do not plan on quitting…as long as God provides the means to keep them supported financially. Dr. Younce’s Ministries, Heritage Baptist Bible Church Online, Heritage Radio Bible Class (KJOE-Radio and Online), The Bible Question and Answer Web Site all plan to continue. As Pastor Younce would say, “Where God guides, God provides.

We’ll certainly miss him. To us, he is Friend, Dad, Grandpa, G-G-pa, and Sweetheart.

“Even so, Come, Lord Jesus…”

What is the Gospel, you may ask...

"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" - 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Christ Died, That's History. Christ Died for Me, That's Salvation!
